Patrick Mahomes, 30, is rehabbing a torn ACL and LCL that keeps a franchise quarterback off the gridiron for the better part of a year. He suffered the injury during Kansas City’s Week 15 loss to the Chargers in December and underwent surgery the following day. The Chiefs finished 6-11, their worst season since 2012, and missed the playoffs for the first time in the Mahomes era.
But Pat is now healthy enough to walk by himself without extra support, though he is not ready to return to the gridiron anytime soon. He told reporters in January that his goal was to be ready for Week 1 with no restrictions, and his doctor confirmed it was possible.
So, for now, he can’t play football yet. However, he can apparently button a dress for his wife Brittany.

In one clip, she shared a mirror selfie with Patrick, wearing a red lace mini dress while he opted for a casual bowling shirt. The dress featured a low cutout and a back full of satin-covered buttons.
In a follow-up post, the mother of three showed off the intricate details, captioning it: “Patrick really loved having to button all these buttons for me 🙂.” It was a revealing full back of the dress.
With the NFL season months away, Patrick apparently had the time to help her get ready. The playful post quickly gained traction as fans followed the couple’s offseason.

However, the red dress wasn’t the only headline Brittany generated this week. On Wednesday, she received the inaugural Champion for Change Award from national women’s leadership nonprofit United WE at CPKC Stadium in Kansas City.
Just to recap, it is the first stadium in the world purpose-built for a women’s professional team. This milestone highlights Brittany Mahomes’ work as co-owner of the Kansas City Current and her focus on women’s sports. The team is now valued at $325 million and leads the NWSL in annual revenue at $36 million.
While the family celebrates these wins, Patrick is alsorecovering well from his injury. He is ahead of schedule and expected to join team activities on May 26.
Head Coach Andy Reid noted that Patrick is healthy enough to participate in some drills, intending to be fully ready for the season opener in September. The Chiefs’ season largely depends on his return.
