Sports radio host Jim Rome warned New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft that the ongoing scandal involving Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini isn’t showing any signs of dying down.

In recent weeks, the discourse surrounding the NFL has been heavily dominated by the relationship between Vrabel and Russini, both of whom are married to other partners. As more intimate sightings of the Patriots head coach and league insider keep coming to light, the former’s odds of remaining in New England took a noticeable hit.

Last month, Vrabel and Russini were spotted holding hands and embracing intimately during a getaway at the adults-only Ambiente Resort in Sedona, Arizona. During their trip, the two were seen enjoying breakfast on a patio before spending time together poolside and in a hot tub. It comes after a resurfaced clip showed Russini's intimate comment about her husband left Vrabel shaking his head.

They also made use of the picturesque views from the private rooftop of a bungalow that costs up to $2,160 nightly.

According to Rome, the ensuing scandal has now taken on a life of its own — and unfortunately for Kraft, the unwanted distraction doesn’t appear to be going away any time soon.

“The problem for [Robert] Kraft is that it’s not going away,” Rome said. “And there’s nothing he can do to make it go away. In fact, it’s not even dying down, and it’s already been a month.

“Exactly a month, in fact, since Vrabel issued one of the most ill-fated denials of all time. ‘These photos show a completely innocent interaction, and any suggestion otherwise is laughable. This doesn’t deserve any further response.’

“Not only did the public disagree that the photos didn’t deserve any further response, they are refusing to move on from this entire topic. Forget not deserving any further response. The public’s like, this deserves our full attention indefinitely.”

Since Vrabel and Russini’s Arizona rendezvous, several previous public sightings have additionally been uncovered.

On March 11, 2020, the duo were captured in photographs appearing intimate at Tribeca Tavern's bar. A witness told Page Six the pair sat "very close to each other" while deeply conversing, seemingly kissing at one moment.

Then in June 2021, Vrabel and Russini booked a private boat together in Putnam County, Tennessee, during which they were the only passengers on the vessel for the entirety of the “2-to-3-hour rental.”

At the time, Russini was pregnant with her first child Michael, while Vrabel was entering his fourth season as Tennessee Titans head coach.

Given the immense craze surrounding the Vrabel-Russini scandal, Rome believes more evidence could soon emerge. “It’s like a 2026 gold rush, and everybody’s out here mining for their nugget, trying to strike it rich,” Rome said.

“And as long as more and more gold is discovered — gold like them renting a boat while she was pregnant, and footage of it is revealed — it just makes you wonder when it no longer becomes viable for this guy to lead that football team.”
