When it comes to the annual schedule of the Los Angeles Rams, fans have learned to brace for the disappointment and frustration that comes with it. For starters, the very location of Los Angeles, California, almost always ensures that the Horns will be among the most-travelled NFL teams in any given season.
But since the team remains competitive year after year, it often finds itself in slug matches with other equally competitive teams.
When the projected schedules of 2026 hit the streets, projected win-loss records are not far behind. And as a result, the projected win-loss records of LA's 2026 opponents make it one of the most difficult schedules faced by any NFL team this season:
And fans are getting frustrated:
The full NFL schedule release is coming Thursday, May 14th! 🏈📅

LA is up to the challenge. The team faced a difficult schedule in 2025, with eight home games and nine road games, and finished the season at an impressive 12-5 record. Now, the NFL has scheduled one of the SoFi Stadium home games to be relocated to Melbourne, Australia.
So much for home team advantage.
Fans have plenty of reasons to be frustrated in 2026
The challenges of long-distance traveling and competing against some of the best teams in the league are enough to make any football fan toss and turn at night. But now, the season opener is slated to be televised on a new streaming platform - Netflix. That forces fans to pay for one more streaming service subscription to stay tuned to the LA Rams
Of course, history is being made in 2026. For the first time in NFL history, an American football game (a.k.a. American Gridiron) is being played in Australia. That has been years in the making, and shows just how far the NFL has come in unlocking international markets.
It was not so long ago that local television stations were able to broadcast football games free of charge to their fans. That free-broadcast option was only interrupted if the tickets to those games were not sold out entirely.
Now, multiple streaming platforms, all with their own fees and subscription rates, have claimed a share of the NFL market. So local fans may be forced to subscribe to as many as a half dozen streaming services just to view the entire NFL season for their team. And it's getting worse.
The LA Rams are due to be battle-tested once more. And this team should be up to the challenge. But Rams fans do have a point. When will this team emerge with an unexpectedly easy schedule?
As always, thanks for reading.
