Arsenal target Bradley Barcola in a summer move that could define their 2026/27 season
Arsenal are making a serious push for PSG winger Bradley Barcola ahead of the summer window. The Gunners have made him their top target for the left wing as they look toward the 2026/27 campaign. According to Sky Germany, Arsenal are very keen on the 23-year-old French international and have already started initial talks with his agents. Even though the club are closing in on a historic season at home, sporting director Andrea Berta isn’t slowing down; he’s already hunting for the kind of talent that keeps Arsenal competing at the highest level.
Barcelona and Liverpool are also keeping an eye on Barcola, but things are still in the early stages, and no official bids have been made yet. Bayern Munich have joined the race as well, while PSG tries to juggle contract talks with him alongside their other squad plans. It’s getting messy in Paris.
Barcola hasn’t been happy with his minutes since Khvicha Kvaratskhelia arrived in January 2025, and his refusal to sign a new deal makes a summer move look more likely by the day. He racked up 42 goal involvements last season and has added another 19 in 2,762 minutes this term. Since his contract runs until 2028, PSG still have the upper hand, but the player’s clear frustration is giving his suitors a real chance.

Does Barcola actually solve Arsenal’s left-wing problem, or does he simply shift it?
Arsenal’s left side has been a source of silent frustration for two seasons now. Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard have both run hot and cold, and Barcola offers something completely different with his raw pace and directness. The upside is obvious as he’s great at beating his man in tight spots, can hit it from range, and shows up when the pressure is on.
We saw that exact spark during Barcola’s cameo against Bayern in the Champions League semi-finals this year. But to be fair, he does have a weakness as Barcola tends to vanish when teams sit deep and cut off the space, which is exactly how most teams play against Arsenal.

His numbers take a hit against a low block. That said, Arteta’s system relies on constant movement and quick passing, which should hide that flaw much better than PSG’s slower tempo ever could. Surrounded by players who think and move at his speed, Barcola could finally find the consistency at the Emirates that he’s only shown in moments at the Parc des Princes.
