Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers have yet to come to an agreement for the 2026 NFL season. It has become apparent to the Steelers that Rodgers will once again be taking his time deciding if he’ll play again in the upcoming season.

Steelers Stop Communicating With Aaron Rodgers After He Arrives In Pittsburgh
According to Steelers insider Gerry Dulac, the team has not spoken with Rodgers in person. Instead, they contacted his agent. Furthermore, Rodgers has not yet entered the building during the rookie minicamp:
SOURCES: Aaron Rodgers has been in town for a couple days, but the Steelers have not met with him yet and instead have been talking with his agent.
Rodgers has stayed away from the team’s South Side facility while the three-day rookie minicamp has been going on.
Following a successful 10-7 season with Pittsburgh in 2025, including the AFC North title, many thought Rodgers would return to the team. Despite the departure of Mike Tomlin, Mike McCarthy’s arrival gave fans hope that Rodgers would return in 2026.
In spite of this, Rodgers remained quiet over the course of several months, stating he was pondering his options. Although the four-time NFL MVP arrived in Pittsburgh in the early days of May, the team is seemingly unwilling to speak with him.
Fans didn’t waste any time reacting to the news:
I never wanna hear this man’s name linked with the Steelers ever again after this year I swear.
Jesus man. Just give it up with this guy. We don’t need a nursing home resident to be our guy.
This is all so pathetic and embarrassing for the organization.
Why do u think he would come to town at all, if not to meet with the team??
Steelers are boring. One of the least interesting franchises for years. And that dummy Art Rooney thinks this is great.
