Shocking Patrick Mahomes news during recovery confirmed

The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to get star quarterback Patrick Mahomes back and get back to the playoffs after missing the playoffs for the first time in Mahomes’ career. Mahomes has been focused on his recovery from the ACL tear that ended his season last year.

However, as focused as he is on returning to full health, Mahomes still made the time to welcome his new teammate, reigning Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III.

“Yeah, I’ve been talking to Pat for a minute now,” Walker [told Athlon Sports.](https://athlonsports.com/nfl/kenneth-walker-iii-interview-super-bowl-mvp-kansas-city-chiefs) “I was able to meet him in person. I’m always talking to him every day I see him. I haven’t met Travis in person, but I talked to him on the phone. He’s a vet as well, I know he’s gotta get his body right. But it was cool. It’s cool to be able to meet those guys and just really pick their brain and understand who they are.”

Walker said that Mahomes’ competitiveness has already stood out to him and confirmed that he’s just as focused as ever on being great.

“It’s really two things — just how humbling he is and how competitive he is,” Walker said. “He’s always looking for ways to get better. I just got here, but you can see how he runs the routes and how goes through the plays. It’s very detailed.”

With Travis Kelce returning to the fold, and Walker’s dynamism joining the backfield, there’s a good chance the Chiefs will be back in title talks sooner rather than later.
