“Let’s Go”: Los Angeles Chargers Fans Excited About Team Signing TE David Njoku To a One-Year…

The Los Angeles Chargers finished with a 11-6 record last season. The offense faced its challenges with issues on the offensive line. During the offseason, Los Angeles changed offensive coordinators and hired Mike McDaniel as the new offensive coordinator.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported on Monday morning on Twitter, “Sources: The#Chargers have agreed to terms with former#Browns TE David Njoku, giving him a 1-year deal worth up to $8M. After nine years with Cleveland, Njoku moves on to catch passes from Justin Herbert in a deal done by@malkikawaof @FirstRoundMgmt.” Adding David Njoku to this offense, it will bring a different element for the Chargers. He has played for the Cleveland Browns since the 2017 season.

There is no doubt that the signing of Njoku is going to help out quarterback Justin Herbert. During the 2025 NFL season with Cleveland, he caught 33 passes for 294 yards receiving and four touchdowns, along with averaging 8.9 yards per reception. Njoku was targeted 48 times last season. The Browns quarterback situation was not ideal for him last season.

Harold Fannin Jr. also became the Browns number one tight end as well in the process. Njoku maybe primed for a big season with the Chargers and it may not come as a surprise to anyone.
