The Buffalo Bills are adding a pass-rusher to their defensive line, as the club has announced it has come to terms with veteran edge-rusher Mike Danna, who [visited with the team](/buffalo-bills-news/133774/buffalo-bills-host-former-chiefs-edge-mike-danna-on-visit) late last week.
Danna, 29, spent the first six seasons of his career with the Chiefs and faced the Bills nine times since his rookie season in 2020. His career high in sacks — 6.5 — came in 2023 and has 25 career tackles for loss in the regular season. The two-time Super Bowl champ adds to a revamped Bills outside pass-rush group that now features free-agent acquisition Bradley Chubb and second-round pick T.J. Parker.
Danna is coming off his least-productive season in 2025. He appeared on 37.4% of the snaps with 25 tackles, one sack, and three tackles for loss with a pressure rate of just 4.85%.
Altogether during his time in Kansas City, he was a pesky rotational, three-down edge-rusher who had some of his best performances against the Bills, including the 2024 AFC title game. He’s a stocky, reasonably power 6’2” and around 260 pounds.
I like him as floor-setting veteran with loads of playoff experience who may be asked to take on less edge-setting responsibilities in Jim Leonhard’s defense than he did in Steve Spagnuolo’s scheme in Kansas City.
