PSG Make Transfer Stance Clear With Bradley Barcola‘Tempted’By Liverpool Move–Report

Paris Saint-Germain have not ruled out selling Liverpool transfer target Bradley Barcola, according to reports in the French media.

Le10 Sport claim that the Ligue One giants will listen to offers if the player “expresses his wish” to leave the Parc des Princes.

Things have not quite got to that stage yet, but there is increasing uncertainty over Barcola‘s future because of protracted contract negotiations that have gone on for several months.

The Frenchman’s current deal expires in 2028, so PSG don’t necessarily need to sell him this summer if he doesn’t sign on the dotted line, but the fact that the player hasn’t put pen to paper has alerted other clubs.

Liverpool is an attractive destination for the player

Le10 Sport report that Barcola would be “tempted” by a move to Anfield. They say that the player is “clearly interested”, mainly because he knows he would be an automatic starter with the Reds, which he isn’t at his current team.

The winger has to compete with the likes of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue for game time at the moment.

Barcola could be trying to get a better contract

Agents have been known to feed information to the press during contract talks in order to put pressure on teams.

The fact that links to Liverpool (and Arsenal) have cropped up in recent months may not be a coincidence. There is no doubt that Reds’ sporting director Richard Hughes would be keen to recruit Barcola, but you do need to be conscious of the motives of the player.

It is undoubtedly a transfer story to keep an eye on, but until we see reports from respected English sources, we would advise taking this rumour with a large pinch of salt.
