With the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' rookie minicamp in the books, the team is making a few moves.
According to FOX Sports' Greg Auman, the Buccaneers are signing veteran long snapper Scott Daly to the 90-man offseason roster.
In order to make room, the Bucs have waived undrafted free-agent signing Wesley Brown, who was inked following the 2026 NFL Draft.
Brown played his college ball at Fresno State.
Daly, who was a tryout player at the Bucs' rookie minicamp this past weekend, will now compete with Evan Deckers for the Buccaneers' long snapper job.
Deckers has been the team's long snapper for the past two seasons, but clearly the Bucs want to push him this offseason.
Daly is a good candidate to do so with his wealth of NFL experience that includes 76 games over five seasons.
Daly spent the past two years with the Chicago Bears, and before that he was with the Detroit Lions for three years.
With rookie minicamp in the books, the Bucs' long-snapper competition will continue later this month, when the team takes the field for OTAs (organized team activities) on May 26.
