“Trade For Giannis”: New York Giants/Jets Fans Fed Up With the Brooklyn Nets Sliding To the…

Many New York Giants and New York Jets are either New York Knicks or Brooklyn Nets fans when they watch the NBA. While the Knicks advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals for the second straight season, the Nets fanbase was wondering on Sunday where they would be selecting in the 2026 NBA Draft.

Brooklyn finished with the third worst record in the NBA at 20-62 this past season. The Nets had the third-best odds to get the number one pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. Instead of staying at third overall, they moved down three spots in the draft lottery and will have the sixth overall selection in the 2026 NBA Draft. Many fans are not happy about this team moving down. These Giants/Jets fans who are Brooklyn fans believe that the franchise is cursed. There are fans who think that they should go get big time players this offseason instead of potentially relying on draft picks once again.

There are a lot of these fans who are furious that the Nets continue to get screwed over in the NBA Draft lottery year in and year out. This is what some of them said on Twitter:

Complete rock bottom. Marks and Tsai should be held accountable.

Trade for Giannis / Ja and fake compete for a few years.

If the Knicks can “compete” each year with that group of retards, I’ll take my chances.

For two years I said that’s why you don’t tank in the NBA because it’s already fixed so we wasted 2 years of our lives for these garbage picks

BRUTAL!! This franchise is truly truly cursed. Two years in a row we fall in the draft. Give me a break. Just ridiculous.

Vince was fighting tears when it got announced😭

Move back to Jersey the only way to end this curse 😢

There are fans who believe that the Nets should move from Brooklyn, New York and move back to New Jersey for this curse to end. The most logical place for them potentially to play at is maybe in Newark, New Jersey at the Prudential Center. The New Jersey Devils of the NHL play home games at that arena and so do the Seton Hall Pirates in college basketball sometimes.

If Brooklyn does not trade its sixth overall pick, there is a good chance that Keaton Wagler of the Illinois Fighting Illini or Darius Acuff Jr. from the Arkansas Razorbacks will be on the board. Yes, the Nets need help in the frontcourt, but it will be hard for them to pass up on one of those elite guards. If general manager Sean Marks passes up on one of those two players for another international player sixth overall, the Nets should fire him as general manager on the spot.

Brooklyn can be a team that no doubt tries to trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks or Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies this offseason. Many Nets fans want to see this team compete next season and stop tanking altogether. They will have a lot of options to choose from. Giants and Jets fans who root for the Nets want to see this franchise make the right decision in the 2026 NBA Draft here.
