News travels fast in the world of Chelsea football club. The shortlist of names who could replace Liam Rosenior has added two new names following a report from Matt Law. This comes as the team are assessing their options to avoid another lost season after a disastrous 2025/26 that has seen them burn through two permanent managers and fall out of multiple competitions, with them currently sitting near the bottom half of the league table.
Chelsea Manager Search: Oliver Glasner & Filipe Luis on Shortlist
Filipe Luis
The Brazilian is a former Blues player, he won the league under Antonio Conte but quickly returned to Atletico Madrid. He has transitioned into managing with Flamengo whom he ended his playing career with. He was brought in to coach their development teams and worked his way up from the U17 to U20 before taking over the senior team.

In Brazil, he won 64 of his 101 games in charge, losing just 15 of them. He won the Brasileiro Serie A, Copa do Brasil, the Copa Libertadores, and more during his time in charge. He left abruptly in early 2026 despite an 8-0 win in his final outing in charge.
Oliver Glasner
From someone unproven in Europe to someone with extensive experience in Europe’s top five leagues and an impressive tenure in the Premier League. Oliver Glasner is known mostly for his time at Crystal Palace, where he won the FA Cup and Community Shield last season. He also won the Europa League with Eintracht Frankfurt and had a successful stint in Austria with LASK.

Both options have proven they have what it takes to win but the European and English pedigree of Glasner could sway the decisions. What could see him miss out on the position is his rather fiery departure from the Eagles, which saw him make some ultimatums regarding the departure of Marc Guehi.
