“Not Even a Fine”: NFL Fans Outraged Over San Antonio Spurs Star Victor Wembanyama Not…

NFL fans enjoy watching Sunday night football on NBC. They also enjoy watching the NBA playoffs on Sunday night on NBC as well. Game 4 was aired between the San Antonio Spurs and the Minnesota Timberwolves. During the game, Victor Wembanyama elbowed Naz Reid in the jaw in the second quarter. He received a flagrant two foul and was ejected from the game.

The Spurs lost Game 4 to the Timberwolves by a final score of 114-109. The series is tied at two games apiece. Many were wondering if he was going to be suspended for Game 5 in this series for his actions. Well, Shams Charania of ESPN reported on Twitter on Monday afternoon and said,

“There will be no further discipline for Spurs star Victor Wembanyama after he was ejected for elbowing Naz Reid in Minnesota on Sunday night, sources tell ESPN. No suspension, no fine. Wembanyama will play in Game 5 against the Timberwolves on Tuesday night in San Antonio.”

This is not a surprise by any means. He has not had a history of being dirty before. Wembanyama has been roughed up all series long for the Spurs against the Timberwolves.

There are a lot of NFL/NBA fans who are outraged that Wembanyama didn’t get fined or suspended for Game 5 with his flagrant 2 foul in Game 4. This is what fans had to say about this:

Not even a fine, if this was someone else though it would’ve been a 7 game suspension pic.twitter.com/VPAUIrZqaN

So Ron Artest gets suspended multiple games but Wemby doesn’t LMFAOOOOO

Spurs also got 3 lottery picks in a row before this year Adam Silver is single handedly saving them

Most protected player in the league. Gets away with so many fouls and goaltends. But karma will get to him eventually

It will be interesting to see how Wembanyama is going to respond for the Spurs in Game 5 against the Timberwolves. If Draymond Green or any other player with a bad reputation did this, they would have been suspended. Since this is his first time doing this, there is no need for a suspension. Wembanyama however will be monitored by the league for his actions moving forward.
