New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel is going into the 2026 season as one of the more controversial head coaches in the NFL. His years-long affair with Dianna Russini has become one of the most talked about stories of the off-season.
While Russini was effectively forced to quit her job at The Athletic, Vrabel continues to be the guy in charge in New England. We have seen numerous players and front office member state they are standing behind Vrabel during this difficult time.
However, one player felt the need to put a stop to one quote circulating around the league.

Patriots’ TreyVeon Henderson Breaks Silence On Quote Circulating Online
A viral quote from TreVeyon Henderson about Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini went viral.
Henderson’s quote, which is popular among avid Christians, went viral on social media this weekend. The only problem? Henderson claims he never made the comment. Here is the initial quote that spread across the internet:
“If you read this, I pray that this gives you hope. Your sin may be great, but God’s grace is greater. Turn away from sin and put your trust in Jesus 🙏🏽.”
Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.
As a result, Henderson took to social media to condemn the quote and ask that it not be spread:
“I have never made a public statement on the Vrabes situation. Respectfully, please stop misspreading false information.”
The entire situation has turned into a major distraction for staff, players, and coaches with the New England Patriots. While there is currently no reports of Mike Vrabel losing his job any time soon, many analysts wonder how it will be possible for him to keep his job in the long-term.
It is telling that Henderson interpreted the post to refer to Vrabel when it does not even mention him in the post. It reaffirms how this story has persisted, and blown up, over the course of the last month or so.
Vrabel addressed Henderson’s habit of posting quotes from the Bible on social media approximately one week prior to the initial images of Vrabel with NFL reporter Dianna Russini being published.
“I think there is a fine line. I want to tell you, I love TreVeyon. I love the person. He cares deeply about our team. He cares deeply about his faith. He cares deeply about his family, his wife, the people in our building,” Vrabel said.
“And so, I want them to be able to express what they believe in their heart and in their mind, but also want to make sure that they’re educated. And we want to be inclusive. Everything we want to do, wants to provide an environment for people to one, feel comfortable, but also to share their personal beliefs. And then also, we represent the team and we represent the organization.”
