Many NFL/NBA fans are well aware about Milwaukee Bucks Giannis Antetokounmpo being mentioned in trade rumors for the last couple of years. Milwaukee missed the playoffs last season and will have the 10th overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. Many people thought that the Bucks were maybe going to trade him at the NBA trade deadline this year, but that didn’t occur.

Many NFL/NBA fans believed that Shams Charania of ESPN has been trying to create a Giannis trade story for nothing well. Shams reported the latest on Monday and said,
“The Milwaukee Bucks are open for business on trade calls and offers for two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo entering the NBA combine and over six weeks away from the draft, sources told ESPN.”
There were five NBA teams that were looking to trade for him. They were the Los Angeles Lakers, the New York Knicks, the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Minnesota Timberwolves, and the Boston Celtics. We will see if those five teams inquire about him again this offseason. There is a slim chance that Antetokounmpo could return to the Bucks in 2026-2027 however.

Antetokounmpo is 31 years old. He is under contract for the 2026-2027 NBA season and has a player-option for the 2027-2028 NBA season. If the Bucks are going to trade him, this is the right time to trade him. If Antetokounmpo is not dealt this offseason, everyone is going to realize that Charania is a clickbait artist here.
