Luis Díaz's wife Gera Ponce gave birth to a baby boy on Monday, 11th May. The couple uploaded photographs from the hospital showing the baby swaddled in a blue cloth and wearing a white hat.
One image captured the entire family gathered around the hospital bed, with the proud parents sharing the precious moment with their son and two daughters. The post was captioned: "FERNANDO 11/05/2026. More love. More life. More of us. One more dream of our hearts come true."
Díaz announced the pregnancy back in December after netting in the Bundesliga against Heidenheim for Bayern Munich, lifting his shirt to reveal a ball tucked underneath before sucking his thumb in celebration.

Gera shared the heartwarming photograph to her own social media, captioning it: "Thank you, my God, for all your blessings, for a year full of love and new beginnings, and for our son, the greatest gift that is on his way to complete our home."
Fans of Díaz flooded the couple with warm messages. One comment read: "Welcome precious prince" while another added: "Many congratulations. May God continue to fill your home with blessings."
Further responses included: "Congratulations to you both, baby boy will be so loved by you all" and "Congratulations! Blessings in abundance, beautiful baby."
Fernando's arrival follows the couple welcoming their second child in January 2024. Charlotte was born on the very same date that Diaz and Gera celebrated their seventh anniversary.

Announcing Charlotte's birth, Gera said: "CHARLOTTE, [heart emoji] is such a long-awaited and desired little girl, who came into our lives with incredible magic. And today, January 25, on a day we already considered special, our little girl arrived.

"God has blessed us with our daughter. Charlotte has arrived to fill us with laughter, love and unforgettable moments. Now the 25th of every month belongs to her. Welcome my magical princess." The pair first became parents in 2021, with Roma being the eldest of Diaz's children.
Throughout his three-and-a-half-year stint at Liverpool, Diaz claimed some of football's most prestigious honors, having been brought to the club by Jurgen Klopp at the start of 2022. The closing weeks of his time on Merseyside produced remarkable moments as he played a key role in the club securing yet another Premier League title.
Ahead of the 2025-26 campaign, Diaz completed a permanent switch to the Bundesliga, joining Bayern Munich. The Colombian has thrived in Germany and is now regarded as one of the most in-form players on the continent.
