Randi opened the post with a photo of her late mother, Debbie Martin, who passed away in 2023. Debbie was wearing Patrick Mahomes’ No. 15 Chiefs jersey. The remaining slides shifted to photos of Brittany with the couple’s three children: Sterling Skye, Patrick Lavon Mahomes III, and Golden Raye Mahomes. The combination of grief and celebration gave the post an emotional weight that fans and family both felt.
Randi’s caption tied both tributes together in a single message. “Happy Mother’s Day to these two amazing women!” she wrote. “I’m missing my mom a little extra today. Her love shaped the way I love my own family, and I’m forever grateful for everything she poured into me.”
Randi addressed Brittany directly in the caption: “Brittany, you are such an incredible mother. The love, patience, and joy you pour into your babies every day are so special to watch, and I’m so proud of you. Being a mom and now a Grandi is the greatest blessing.” Randi also urged her followers to hold their own mothers closer, writing, “Hug your mamas a little tighter today.”
Brittany replied in the comments, writing: “Crying. Thank you and love you!! Happy Mother’s Day to you!!!”
The Mahomes family celebrated Mother’s Day at CPKC Stadium in Kansas City. Patrick attended the KC Current’s NWSL match against the Chicago Stars with Brittany and their three children. Current forward Temwa Chawinga scored a first-half hat trick, and Kansas City won 3-0.
Brittany Mahomes Returns to CPKC Stadium Days After Wrist Diagnosis Reveal
Brittany’s appearance at the stadium carried extra significance given what she had revealed five days earlier. On May 5, she disclosed on Instagram that she had been battling De Quervain’s tenosynovitis, commonly called mother’s wrist, for nearly a year.
The condition, caused by repetitive lifting in young children, had become severe enough to require a wrist brace. Brittany and Patrick are co-owners of the KC Current, a team whose valuation has climbed to $275 million, and she remains visibly involved in the club’s operations.
After Chawinga completed her hat trick, Patrick removed his cap and saluted the forward from the stands. The gesture drew attention from Kansas City fans, who roared through the stadium alongside him. The couple became part-owners of the KC Current in December 2020 and have heavily invested in the club’s growth.
Brittany also received the inaugural Champion for Change award from United WE just days before the game. The award was presented at CPKC Stadium during the organization’s 35th anniversary celebration. “Such an inspiring morning with United WE celebrating progress and influencing action!” Brittany posted on Instagram after the event.
Patrick is rehabbing an ACL and LCL tear he suffered in Week 15 of the 2025 NFL season. He is considered ahead of schedule in his recovery, with the Chiefs optimistic about a Week 1 return.
