Cowboys React After Thanksgiving Game is Revealed for 2026 NFL Season

The Dallas Cowboys have long been recognized as "America's Team" with the star on their helmets, which has resonated with people around the country since the franchise's inception.

One of the biggest days on the NFL calendar each year is Thanksgiving Day, where it is a day full of football while families enjoy time with each other around the United States. The Cowboys have been an integral part of the NFL on Thanksgiving since the 1960s.

Dallas, along with the Detroit Lions, has played a game on all but two Thanksgiving Days since it began the tradition in 1966. With the NFL releasing its full schedule for the 2026 season on Thursday, the league gave a sneak peak into the Cowboys' plans on the holiday this year.

On Monday, the Cowboys reacted to the news that they will take on the divisional rival Philadelphia Eagles this year on Thanksgiving. The Week 12 matchup between NFC East foes will be one of two times Dallas and Philadelphia meet during the 2026 season.
