As the New Orleans Saints look to fill out their final few spots on their 90-man roster, general manager Mickey Loomis used some Steiner math to bolster his team's chances of winning the Super Bowl, signing wide receiver Brock Rechsteiner out of Jacksonville State after a successful showing at the team's minicamp.
Taking to social media to break down the signing, New Orleans Football noted that Rechsteiner will be continuing on with the Saints for the time being, even if a career in WWE might be just over the horizon.
“Brock Rechsteiner’s WWE career will have to wait — for now,” NOF wrote. “The Saints signed the wideout after he impressed at rookie minicamp, according to a source. Rechsteiner, son of WWE Hall of Famer Scott Steiner, said he plans to pursue a wrestling career after football. But first, he joins New Orleans’ 90-man roster for OTAs.”

Discussing his wrestling future in an interview with Sharief Ishaq of WDSU, Rechsteiner did note that a run at wrestling in his father's old promotion, WWE, is, in fact, in the cards, as his cousin, Bron Breakker has encouraged him to make the jump.
“I work out with him all the time back home,” Rechsteiner said via Wrestling News. “I go fishing with him a lot because he moved back to Georgia. He has really convinced me to, once I’m done playing football, to get into the wrestling business. I want to play football for as long as I can, give it the best shot I can, but once I’m done playing football, I’ll get into it, for sure.”
While Breakker, too, tried his hand at professional football, trying out for the Baltimore Ravens as a fullback, he has since gone on to incredible success in WWE, holding multiple titles while feuding with top stars like Seth Rollins. Though they may not be brothers, adding another Steiner to the roster could produce a major mathematical advantage for the Breakker and The Vision, just like the Steiners a generation ago.
