Liverpool's season is almost over and attention can soon turn to the transfer window. After a disappointing second season in charge for Arne Slot, there is work to be done in the market and the World Cup to navigate to get business done.
The Reds still must confirm their place in next term's Champions League but Slot is convinced that he will win fans over if the club have the summer they anticipate. "Yeah, I do [think I can win the fans back]," he said following the draw with Chelsea.
"Not this season, by the way. This season they will have their opinion and it will not change but if we can have the summer that we are planning to have, I am 100 percent convinced we will be a different team next season than we are now.
"Different in terms of results, different in how things look. It’s not always that simple because sometimes you know what you have to do but it’s not always possible to get exactly what you want
With Mohamed Salah set to depart at the end of this contract and speculation over the likes of Alisson Becker's future, it could be a busy few months ahead. Already, the likes of Bradley Barcola and Yan Diomande are being linked with moves to Merseyside.
