Tariq Lamptey's Italian adventure has ended after his contract was terminated by Fiorentina.
Lamptey joined the Italian club for around £6m at the start of the season but suffered an ACL injury last February during a Serie A clash against Como.
The former Brighton man totalled just 25 minutes for Fiorentina, with his only other appearance coming as a late substitute against Napoli.
Fiorentina described Lamptey’s injury as a, “complex medical situation.”
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano posted: "Fiorentina terminate Tariq Lamptey’s contract with immediate effect after only 25 mins played at the club."
Lamptey joined Brighton from Chelsea in 2020 for around £3m and made 122 appearances for the Seagulls with five goals and 12 assists.
The Ghana international was a popular figure at Brighton but suffered with hamstring and knee issues during his time on the south coast.
