Kylian Mbappe is once again being linked with a sensational transfer to Liverpool amid the ongoing turmoil at Real Madrid.
The French superstar is no stranger to speculation of a move to Anfield, having been touted to join the Reds for years now. Rumors first emerged back when he was still a Monaco player - during which time he has confirmed he spoke to Liverpool - and have followed him ever since.
Even now, after making the move to Madrid in 2024, Mbappe continues to find himself being touted for a move to Merseyside, with new suggestions that the Reds could revive their interest.

Football Insider makes the sensational claim that Liverpool is keeping a close eye on Mbappe amid the ongoing turmoil at the Bernabeu.
It’s been a bad week for the Spanish giants, with Fede Valverde having been sent to hospital after a training ground bust-up with Aurelien Tchouameni just days before defeat in El Classico saw Barcelona claim the La Liga title.
It’s claimed that Mbappe has also been involved in some of the shenanigans behind the scenes, which has in turn put “a number of Premier League clubs on alert” - including Liverpool.

Real looks set to undergo some significant changes over the summer, with Alvaro Arbeloa unlikely to remain in charge after taking over from Xabi Alonso earlier this year. Jose Mourinho has been strongly linked with a return as manager, and he could have a big say in any activity during the transfer window.
The report suggests that Real will decide on Mbappe’s future once a new manager arrives, although Liverpool fans shouldn’t be getting their hopes up just yet.
It goes on to say that it is highly unlikely that the 27-year-old will be allowed to leave any time soon, despite the claim that Liverpool is one of the few clubs capable of striking a deal.

There is simply no way Liverpool will sign Mbappe this summer, and the same can probably be said for any forthcoming windows. Not that it will stop these rumors coming around every so often.
The fact that Mbappe admitted to speaking to Liverpool a few years ago means he’s destined to be forever linked with a move to Anfield, even when everyone knows it’s not going to happen. We’re sure the club is fully aware that ship has sailed as well.
