Sunderland star Noah Sadiki says 'we will see' what the future holds amid ongoing speculation of a summer transfer, having been linked with Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea in recent weeks.

The Black Cats midfielder has emerged as one of the standout performers in Regis Le Bris' squad, who remain in contention for European qualification.

Sunderland were widely tipped for immediate relegation back to the Championship following last season's play-off triumph, but astute summer recruitment, coupled with a blend of experience, has positioned them for a potential late European campaign push.

Sadiki has proved integral to Sunderland's impressive campaign this term, following his summer arrival from Belgian outfit Union Saint-Gilloise. Chelsea, United and Liverpool have all reportedly expressed interest in securing Sadiki's signature in recent weeks.

Speaking to Belgian publication La Dernière Heure following a return to USG, Sadiki remained guarded about his future prospects.

Reflecting on his debut season in English football and the forthcoming World Cup, he said: "It is amazing to experience everything that is happening to me now.

"Everything went so fast: the transfer to England just after the title in Belgium, and then immediately a starter in England. I haven't even had time to really realise what has happened since my departure from Union SG.

"I talk about Union in England; the English know who they are and couldn't ignore the performances in the Champions League.

"My future? I still have two matches to play with Sunderland, then the World Cup, which will be very special for the Congolese people. And as for the rest, we'll see next season when the time is right."

ChronicleLive understands that Sunderland have no desire to part with Sadiki this summer, though they would not block his exit should a bid arrive that satisfies their asking price, just as they did with the likes of Jobe Bellingham and Tommy Watson.

The Black Cats are anticipating significant interest in a number of their standout performers, following an impressive debut campaign back in the top flight after an eight-year absence, with goalkeeper Robin Roefs also drawing attention from Premier League sides.

Manchester United are seeking to strengthen their midfield options this summer following Casemiro's departure upon the expiry of his contract.

The Old Trafford club face a considerable challenge in finding a worthy successor to the Brazilian, with the names of Sandro Tonali, Elliot Anderson, Carlos Baleba and Joao Gomes all circulating as potential recruits.
