Liverpool could be missing eight players for their trip to Aston Villa on Friday night as the Reds battle to secure their place in the Champions League.
Arne Slot's side need one more victory to be assured of a place at the top table of European football next season and come into the game of an unconvincing performance against Chelsea last weekend.
Pressure is mounting on the Liverpool boss just a year after he lifted the title with Xabi Alonso's availability sparking suggestions he could land the role this summer.
For now, the noises are that Slot will continue in charge while Alonso piques the interest of managerless Chelsea although the Reds chief has not been helped by a terrible injury list.

However, he will travel to Villa Park with Alexander Isak fit again after he came off the bench to face the Blues last weekend.
But there are still a myriad of problems that face Liverpool with Florian Wirtz, the club's £120m signing, missing the game against Chelsea because of illness.
Definitely missing will be Conor Bradley who suffered a serious knee injury earlier in the season. Hugo Ekitike, who has been Liverpool's best performer this season in an attacking sense, is also ruled out of the trip because of a ruptured Achilles.
Centre-back Giovanni Leoni also suffered ACL damage at the start of his career which came in the Carabao Cup win over Southampton.
Japanese midfielder Endo is also doubtful as he concentrates on returning from ankle ligament damage as he looks to prepare for the World Cup this summer.
Ibrahima Konate is also a fresh doubt after he was forced off against Chelsea and had to be replaced by Joe Gomez.
Goalkeeper Alisson Becker is also sidelined with a hamstring injury, the same issue that has put Mo Salah's chances of the game at risk for Friday night. He is said to be aiming for the final game of the season against Brentford.
