Noah Sadiki opens door to Chelsea move with Sunderland willing to sell for£52m

Despite all the noise surrounding Chelsea’s next manager, the Blues continue to be linked with new signings, and one player on the Blues’ radar is Sunderland midfielder Noah Sadiki.

It is a feeling among supporters that Chelsea could do with a proven Premier League player in the middle of the park, despite having Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, Andrey Santos, Romeo Lavia and more.

One thing the Blues do lack in the engine room is a bit of experience. Sunderland’s Sadiki does not offer experience, but he more than makes up for it in work rate and his ability to affect both penalty areas.

Sadiki has only spent one season in the Premier League with Sunderland since the DR Congo star’s move from USG last summer. But his form has caught the eye, and Chelsea want to sign £52m-rated Sadiki.

Chelsea have a few midfielders on their shortlist, not least Nottingham Forest star Elliott Anderson, while a possible raid on Brighton – once again – for Carlos Baleba is not out of the question for Chelsea.

But Sadiki has opened the door to a possible move after the World Cup. Speaking to La Derniere Heure, Sadiki says “we will see” when quizzed about his future at Sunderland, but is focusing on the World Cup.

“My future? I still have two matches to play with Sunderland, then the World Cup, which will be very special for the Congolese people. And as for the rest, we’ll see next season when the time is right.”

Sunderland’s stance on Noah Sadiki amid Chelsea interest

Chronicle Live indicates that Chelsea are not the only club interested in signing Sadiki this summer. Indeed, Manchester United are also said to be tracking the impressive DR Congo star to replace Casemiro.

The report continues that Sunderland are not interested in selling Sadiki and will fight to keep their latest midfield star. However, the Black Cats are willing to accept offers begrudgingly if the price is right.

Indeed, Sunderland have shown a willingness to accept bids in the past for the likes of Jobe Bellingham and Tommy Watson. If Chelsea are keen on Sadiki and meet Sunderland’s price tag, a deal is likely.
