Liverpool are reportedly hopeful of capitalising on mass unrest in the Real Madrid camp to sign French superstar Kylian Mbappe.
The last few weeks have seen many major outlets reporting on the turmoil at Real Madrid, which arguably began with the rushed decision to sack Xabi Alonso.
They then replaced him with another former Liverpool and Madrid star, Alvaro Arbeloa. The Spaniard has done as well as can be expected, given the unrest within Madrid’s squad.
It now appears as though there is a faint chance that Mbappe could leave the club, with Liverpool keeping a close eye on the situation after trying to sign him when he was at AS Monaco and PSG.
Liverpool owner John W. Henry once even took Mbappe and his family on a private jet in Nice in an attempt to woo the forward into making the move to Merseyside.

Mbappe transfer latest as Liverpool watch with interest
Last week, Football Insider transfer correspondent Pete O’Rourke backed Liverpool to be front and centre in a potential Mbappe exit.
He said: “I’m sure they would love the chance to try and [sign] Kylian Mbappe, undoubtedly one of the world’s best players.
“He would be a dream signing for the Premier League because he’s still the biggest star probably in football right now, Mbappe.”
Now, Football Insider reports again on Liverpool’s interest, with O’Rourke writing: “Real Madrid could be set to lose Kylian Mbappe amid interest from Liverpool amid a major training ground fallout.
“The 27-year-old has been one of a number of players involved in reported bust-ups behind the scenes at the Bernabeu, placing a number of Premier League clubs on alert.
“Significant changes could be set to take place at Los Blancos this summer alongside the arrival of a new manager, who will be key to any major departures.
“It is considered highly unlikely that the France superstar will be allowed to leave Real Madrid any time soon, but clubs are keeping a close eye as Liverpool make new transfer plans.”

Mbappe is incredible, but is a move for the Frenchman wise?
Mbappe has 375 goals and 139 assists so far in his career, with 41 goals and six assists coming just this season.
It would appear, at first glance, a strange question to suggest he might not be an incredible signing; however, Liverpool have long since resisted the urge to sign superstars with egos.
Mbappe is a sensational player, but is he a good personality fit for Liverpool? I would say no. He would not only command massive wages, with Real Madrid reportedly paying him a basic wage of €600,000 per week, but he would also expect preferential treatment that Liverpool have historically denied their best players.
Mohamed Salah earns a reported £485,000 per weeek, but even then, he is treated as just another member of the squad regardless of his importance to Liverpool over the years.
