Liverpool may need to spend €70 million to sign Francisco Conceicao. The Portuguese winger continues to attract interest from the Reds ahead of the new season.
Why does Liverpool want to sign Francisco Conceicao?
Liverpool are looking for a new winger after Luis Diaz joined Bayern Munich last summer. The Reds also face questions about Mohamed Salah’s future. So, the club want more attacking options before the transfer window opens. According to Corriere Dello Sport, Francisco Conceicao is one of the players being watched closely. The 23-year-old joined Juventus from FC Porto. The Italian side first signed him on loan during the 2024/25 season before making the move permanent.
As per Transfermarkt, Juventus spent around €45 million in total on the deal. Under Damien Comolli, the Bianconeri paid a €10 million loan fee and later added another €32 million from Cristiano Guintoli to complete the transfer. Because of that investment, the Serie A side now wants around €70 million to sell the winger this summer.

Even though his numbers are not very high. Still, the Portuguese winger has become an important part of the squad under Luciano Spalletti. As per Rousing Kop, Spalletti compared him with young Salah and said, “The comparison with the early Salah is appropriate. Conceicao is still a young player and has things to learn. He needs to convince himself that he can also play more centrally. Out wide he becomes almost impossible to mark because he is truly very strong.
“As a winger he is one of the strongest I have seen. He has this intensity and aggressiveness in one-on-one situations that is very difficult to contain, and today as well he delivered many balls for the team.” comments show his importance in the squad.

Can Liverpool afford to sign Francisco or seek someone else?
The Reds are studying several attacking players before the summer window opens. Francisco Conceicao is one of the names on their shortlist as the club searches for more pace and creativity on the wings. Recent reports claim early talks have already taken place over a possible move. Still, Juventus do not want to lower the asking price right now.
The Portuguese winger likes to run directly at defenders and create chances with quick dribbling. He mostly plays on the right wing but can also move across the front line when needed. The biggest problem for the Reds side is the price. A €70 million fee is very high for a player who has not yet produced big goal numbers in Europe. Because of that, the club may also look at cheaper targets before making a final decision.
Meanwhile, Roony Bardghji is a 20-year-old winger who is also linked with the Reds in recent weeks. Bardghji is from Barcelona, his current market value is € 15 million, as per Transfermarkt. Those stats also show his starting 11 percentage is only 17%, and Goal Contribution in 2% only.

In my opinion, €70 million for a young player who has not shown big numbers is a risky football deal. Because Reds have already suffered with players like Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz, and Darwin Nunez. These players came into the squad with high price value but failed to perform well. On the other hand, Roony Bardghji has the potential to grow. It is true he has very limited game time in Barcelona due to injury, but if he gets proper minutes, he can be a rising star in the Premier League.
