England are blessed with a lot of attacking talent, including Chelsea star Cole Palmer.
Despite the ability that he possesses, though, Palmer has struggled in the Premier League this season. The 24-year-old has not scored a top-flight goal since the beginning of March.
Palmer did find the back of the net in Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool over the weekend, but it was disallowed because of an offside.
Compared to England’s other No.10s, he has had quite a disappointing campaign.
Realistically, how much is Cole Palmer worth?🤔

Chelsea’s Cole Palmer bottom of list of England’s No.10s
This season, Palmer has a WhoScored rating of just 6.72, which puts him below Eberechi Eze, Morgan Rogers, Morgan Gibbs-White, Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham.
Bellingham tops that list with a rating of 7.22, and you would still expect him to make Thomas Tuchel’s squad despite the Real Madrid man and his national team manager not exactly seeing eye to eye.
Whether it is Bellingham, Palmer, Foden or someone else, England will have a very good No.10 at the World Cup this year.

Tuchel would have expected a bit more from Palmer and Foden this season, but the former has had injury issues.
For example, pubalgia kept Palmer out of action earlier in the campaign, while the departure of Enzo Maresca has not helped him either.
Cole Palmer could also play on the right for England
Simply put, Tuchel will not be able to take Palmer, Bellingham, Foden, Eze, Rogers and Gibbs-White all to the World Cup. That would be too many No.10s.
What may give Palmer an advantage over some of his rivals is that he can also play as a right winger very effectively.
In fact, his best football at Chelsea has probably come when he has started on the right and drifted into the right half-space.
Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka will be expected to play there, but Palmer could be a good option off the bench to replace him if he cannot make an impact during a game.

Cole Palmer to miss out on England squad
Unfortunately for Palmer, you cannot help but feel that Tuchel will decide to snub him, and not just because his form in the Premier League has not been great.
Since Tuchel became England manager, Palmer has not done much for the Three Lions under the German.
If it becomes a straight shoot-out between Palmer and any of those other England No.10s, he will probably lose.
This term, the former Manchester City man has not outperformed the likes of Gibbs-White and Rogers.
