Cesc Fabregas’s 2008-2012 Spain side are recognised as one of the greatest international sides of all time, however the former Chelsea midfielder believes it could be upgraded with the introduction of one Blues star.
Before making his move to Stamford Bridge, Fabregas had already picked up two European Championships and a World Cup while playing a key part for Spain.
He featured alongside the likes of Fernando Torres and Pedro, with the latter developing somewhat of a cult hero status at Stamford Bridge later in his career.

Cesc Fabregas thinks Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella could get into 2010 Spain World Cup winning side
Of the Spain players currently looking to follow in the footsteps of that dynasty, one of their most important figures is Marc Cucurella at left-back.
The Chelsea man was crucial to his side in their Euro 2024 win, assisting a goal in the final against England, where Cole Palmer also scored.

Fabregas is clearly a massive fan of the full-back, even admitting in a TikTok for Partidazocope that he would take Cucurella ahead of Joan Capdevilla, who was the starting left-back at the 2010 World Cup.
Capdevilla played every minute of the tournament, and was the only player from the starting XI who did not play his football for Barcelona or Real Madrid.
Despite competition from the likes of Alejandro Grimaldo, Cucurella is set to be a starter again at this summer’s World Cup, where a plethora of Chelsea talent will be on show.

Cesc Fabregas to Chelsea latest
After securing European qualification with Como in Italy, Fabregas’ stocks as a manager are higher than ever.
It has emerged that Fabregas is one of the leading candidates to become Chelsea’s new permanent boss following the sacking of Liam Rosenior.
His legendary playing career at Stamford Bridge would make him an instant hit with supporters, similarly to how Frank Lampard retained the backing of fans even when results weren’t going his way.
At this stage, it appears Xabi Alonso, who also played a crucial role for that legendary Spain side, is the favourite to take over in West London.
