Man City are confident of winning the race for Hertha Berlin holding midfielder Kennet Eichhorn, according to reports.
The 16-year-old is attracting interest from a whole host of Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Newcastle and Tottenham

Bundesliga teams Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are also keen on signing Eichhorn this summer.
However, TEAMtalk claim that City have formulated what they believe is an “ideal offer” that will prove attractive to the player.
Eichhorn would stay in Germany for 2 years
One of the issues that would block City from officially signing the teenager is his age. Rules are in place to stop English clubs recruiting players from abroad who are below 18.
It means that a transfer within Germany was seen as more realistic for Eichhorn, unless he is prepared to stay at Hertha Berlin, but City believe they have found a workaround. It would see him join another City Football Group club before being loaned out to Bayer Leverkusen for two seasons.
There is a good relationship between City and Leverkusen officials, which likely stretches back to Claudio Echeverri’s loan move to the BayArena last year.

Man City are targeting a Leverkusen player
Handing over Eichhorn to the Bundesliga side may also have other benefits. Reports in the German media claim that the Cityzens are keeping close tabs on one of their players – Ibrahim Maza.
The 20-year-old is a former Hertha Berlin player himself, having moved clubs in July last year for €12m.
If City choose to make an offer for Maza, the fact that Eichhorn could potentially move in the other direction may help negotiations run more smoothly.
