There have been a lot of rumblings about the Philadelphia Eagles trading wide receiver A.J. Brown this offseason. Philadelphia has operated in a way this offseason that he is not going to be on the team next season. The Eagles drafted wide receiver Makai Lemon from the USC Trojans in the first-round of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Philadelphia also traded for Dontayvion Wicks from the Green Bay Packers and signed Elijah Moore. Devonta Smith is expected to take on a number one wide receiver role for the Eagles next season assuming Brown is traded elsewhere before the start of the 2026 NFL season.
NFL Insider Believes That the Philadelphia Eagles Will Trade WR A.J. Brown To the New England Patriots After June 1

Mike Jones of the Athletic wrote about many different NFL headlines as the offseason continues to march on. The obvious next thing on the NFL calendar is the 2026 NFL schedule release on Thursday night at 8 p.m. ET. Well, what is going to come after that? Jones thinks that Brown is going to be traded after June 1st. He said,
“The discontent of the Philadelphia Eagles’ most talented wide receiver is no secret. This summer, the three-time Pro Bowl pick and Super Bowl LIX champ is expected to finally get the fresh start he craves. Because of how his contract is structured, a deal isn’t expected to take place until after June 1, but it’s believed Brown will wind up in New England, where he could wind up being the piece that helps further elevate quarterback Drake Maye and the Patriots’ offense.”
A lot of Eagles fans are going to be furious if Brown gets traded to the New England Patriots. They are going to blame it on former NFL reporter Dianna Russini because of her hatrid for the Eagles and her love affair relationship with Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel. If Brown is traded elsewhere other than New England, Philadelphia fans would not care at all.
