President Trump Continues To Send 'Warning' To The NFL

President Trump's public battles with the National Football League have been going on for more than a decade.

The President of the United States tried to buy the Buffalo Bills in 2014. However, he was outbid by the eventual owner, Terry Pegula. At the time, many doubted that Trump would be approved by the rest of the league.

President Trump called out the NFL during Colin Kaepernick's national anthem protests in 2016. He suggested that the league was doing the wrong thing. He did not hesitate in his criticism.

Then, fast forward to recent years, and President Trump has been critical of the NFL's gameplay. He hates the league's new kickoff rule. It's safer - and, honestly, more encouraging of kickoff returns - but he continues to bash it.

"I can't watch the new NFL Kickoff," Trump wrote on Jan. 25. "Like many others, I just turn my head."

After Super Bowl 60, he demanded that the league change the rule.

"And, by the way, the NFL should immediately replace its ridiculous new Kickoff Rule. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!" he wrote in a Truth Social media post.

President Trump has repeatedly "warned" the NFL that they are ruining their product. That "warning" continued this week.

President of United States doubles down on NFL 'warning'

President Trump is warning that the NFL is alienating its fan base by moving more and more games to streaming platforms.

He thinks the NFL could ultimately lose its massive audience.

"It's tough," Trump warned during the interview with Full Measure. "You've got people that love football. They're great people. They don't make enough money to go and pay this. It's tough. And they could be killing the golden goose."

"They have to be careful because, you know, others have tried this, and all of a sudden you don't have a sport anymore," Trump warned. "There's something very sad when they take football away from many, many people. Very sad. I don't like it."

President Trump isn't sure what the answer is, though he made it clear that he doesn't like it.

"I don't know," Trump said. "But I don't like it. I don't like it. They're making a lot of money. They could make a little bit less. They could let the people see. You have people that live for Sunday. They live - they can't think about anything else, and then all of a sudden, they're gonna have to pay $1,000 a game. It's crazy. So, I'm not happy about it."

President Trump has plenty of supporters on this issue, though when it comes to speaking out against the NFL, much of America won't like to hear it.
