New England Patriots Learn Of 2026 Draft Pick Being Arrested
The New England Patriots’ rookie linebacker Quintayvious Hutchins has been charged with domestic assault less than a month after he was selected in the NFL Draft.
During an incident at Voute Hall (Boston College Campus) in Chestnut Hill on Tuesday, the 23-year-old was charged with assault and battery involving a family member.
A misdemeanor charge was filed against Hutchins in Newton District Court on Wednesday morning. Hutchins pleaded not guilty to the charge. Upon his release from custody without bail, the court rescheduled the hearing for a later date. Additional details regarding the incident have not been released by the authorities.
The Patriots acknowledged the situation shortly after the news surfaced. The team said in a statement, “We are aware of the report involving Quintayvious Hutchins. We take these matters very seriously and are in the process of gathering additional information. We will not have further comment at this time.”

Hutchins was drafted in the seventh round (247th overall) by the Patriots. He spent all four years of his college career with Boston College. Here is a look at his college stats:
