**JACKSONVILLE** – Continuity is good. It's not everything.
[Grant Udinski](https://www.jaguars.com/team/coaches-roster/grant-udinski) is entering his second season as the Jaguars' offensive coordinator – and while he sees many positives in such experience, he's not overemphasizing the good. He's also not assuming it guarantees success.
It's Year 2, with a Year 1 feel.
> "There is absolutely an element of starting from scratch," Udinski said.
Udinski joined senior writer John Oehser for this week's 2026 offseason O-Zone Podcast – and as has been common around the Jaguars in recent months, a major topic was moving forward in the second season under [Head Coach Liam Coen](https://www.jaguars.com/team/coaches-roster/liam-coen).
**While continuity is a positive, Udinski said it's important not to rely on it too heavily – and he spoke recently of approaching the 2026 season "with a beginner mindset."**
> "We're going to attack this thing with the same urgency and ferocity that we did last year when we didn't know anything," he said. "The foundation we laid last year will help moving forward, but you try every day not to rely on muscle memory or fall for the curse of knowledge and just take things for granted and assume that just because we did something last year we can show up and do it again this year."
Added Udinski, "I have to have the same thing in the coordinator position – to constantly look to continue to grow. We can't rest on the foundation we laid last year."
