Patriots' Romeo Doubs makes stirring plea for Super Bowl-winning WR

New England Patriots receiver Romeo Doubs is still getting used to his new surroundings after swapping Green Bay for New England, and he's already getting his feet settled.

But as far as the roster? It's anything but.

We have heard the rumors of an A.J. Brown move for the Patriots, but due to several issues like cap space and dead money, the thought is that the move, if it were to happen, won't happen until after June 1.

So, there is still a bit of time for it to happen, and if it does, Doubs is all for it.

"I have a ton of respect for him," Doubs said via Mass Live. "I mean, he's been a dude in this league for quite a long time. I understand that when he first got in the league, coach (Mike) Vrabel was his coach. So again, I understand there are a lot of rumors going around. If he's here, I'd love to have him here, and if he isn't here, I'm still going to wish him the best because he's one of the guys this week. Best in this league."

Will Brown be a Patriot?

Everything seems to point to that.

All the reports, rumors, and speculation have Brown reuniting with Mike Vrabel in New England; the big question is when.

Post June 1 appears to be the date, so June 2 is likely when the deal will go through, and when it does, Drake Maye will have Doubs and Brown as his two weapons in the passing game.

That's not too bad, is it?

But now it is just a waiting game with many media and fans simply having a feeling when, not if, Brown becomes a Patriot, and when he does, Doubs will welcome him with open arms.
