New York Giants schedule 2026: Dates & times for all 17 games, strength of schedule and predictions

A lot has changed since the New York Giants last took the field — and because of that, they'll carry higher expectations in 2026.

John Harbaugh, with a Super Bowl and lots of playoff experience under his belt, is now at the helm in New York. While he inherited some defensive talent and a potential franchise quarterback in Jaxson Dart, the Giants also added some wide receiver depth, tight end Isaiah Likely and two high-end prospects in Francis Mauigoa and Arvell Reese.

The Giants play in a loaded division, but this fall, they now carry a more realistic path to their first playoff spot since 2022.

Here is a complete breakdown of the Giants' 2026 schedule, including dates, start times and analysis for all 17 games.

Giants strength of schedule

Already playing in a tough division, the Giants managed just four wins last season, partially due to the fact that they also had to play a ton of competitive teams, including the full AFC West and NFC North.

This year, the schedule should lighten up a bit for New York. Their 2026 opponents had a combined winning percentage of .498 last season, a strength-of-schedule that ranks right in the middle of the NFL (17th) for the upcoming season.

Toughest tests: Playing in the NFC East is typically tougher than it appeared in 2025. The division-winning Eagles retooled this offseason, while all three of the non-playoff squads have also undoubtedly gotten better in the last few months. Outside of the Giants' divisional matchups, however, they'll also face challenges in hosting the Jaguars and 49ers, and while traveling to face the NFC's top two teams in 2025: the Rams and Seahawks. Additionally, Daniel Jones and the Colts are poised to face New York for the quarterback's first matchup against his former team.

Biggest breaks: Although things can change quickly in the NFL, New York gets four home games against some of the worst 2025 teams in the league: the Browns, Saints, Titans and Cardinals. All four of those matchups could prove favorable for the Giants.

Giants record prediction

Bottom line: With Harbaugh as head coach, there's a much higher floor for the Giants than last season's four wins. The team proved with its offseason moves that it's focused on building a contender around the Harbaugh-Dart pairing — but many questions still need to be answered before New York can be considered a serious contender.

Can Dart continue taking steps toward stardom while staying healthy? Is the Cam Skattebo-Tyrone Tracy backfield talented enough to compete? Can Reese help shore up a defense that struggled to stop the run last season? And in the NFC East, can the Giants finally become a truly competitive opponent against Dallas and Philadelphia?

One thing's for sure: especially with a loaded defensive line and stronger offensive weapons, this is a better Giants team than in past years. New York could wind up in the hunt for a Wild Card spot in 2026, but the Giants might still be another year away from true contention.

Record prediction: 7-10
