The Miami Dolphins and running back De'Von Achane have officially struck a deal.
According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Dolphins are signing Achane to a four-year contract extension that makes him one of the highest-paid running backs in the NFL.
Achane had a breakout 2025 campaign, tallying 1,838 scrimmage yards and 12 total touchdowns. The young running back was also selected to his first Pro Bowl, and established himself as a cornerstone piece of the future for the Dolphins.
That said, let's take a look at the full contract details for Achane in his lucrative extension.
De'Von Achane contract details
Per Schultz, Achane is getting a four-year deal worth $68 million, which is an average annual value of $17 million. The contract also includes $32 million guaranteed.
"BREAKING: The #Dolphins and Pro Bowl RB De'Von Achane have agreed to a 4-year extension worth $68M, making him the NFL’s 3rd-highest-paid RB at $17M per year with $32M guaranteed, per multiple sources," Schultz reported on X.
After trading away wide receiver Jaylen Waddle to the Denver Broncos earlier this offseason, teams began calling Mimai regarding Achane's availability.
However, general manager Jeff Hafley remained adamant that Achane wasn't going anywhere, and the team has now locked him up on a brand-new deal.
The contract makes Achane the third-highest-paid running back in football, behind only Saquon Barkley of the Philadelphia Eagles and Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers.
