De'Von Achane has been involved in plenty of Miami Dolphins trade rumors.
Turns out, he isn't going anywhere.
The Dolphins secured Achane's signature Wednesday on a long-term contract extension that will keep him in South Beach for a long time.
The deal is a four-year extension worth $68 million, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
At $17 million per year, Achane becomes the third-highest paid RB in the NFL.
The contract includes $32 million guaranteed, according to Schultz.
It's the highest average per year and guaranteed money for a RB coming off his rookie deal, Schultz writes.

The Dolphins give this contract to Achane at a time when many teams are going away from paying RBs the big bucks.
Miami has gone in the opposite direction, choosing not to trade Achane away and instead invest in him.
His well-rounded skillset makes him as much of a three-down back as there is in the NFL, as capable as a pass catcher as he is as a rusher.
Achane has been good since entering the league, but his numbers in 2025 were remarkable. He ran for 1,350 yards and eight touchdowns while catching another 67 passes for 488 yards and four TDs.
He actually caught more passes (78) in 2024, and through three NFL seasons has run for 3,057 yards while catching 172 passes.
The Dolphins have a new look in 2026 with a new coaching staff and a new QB, Malik Willis. Achane is the carryover from the past era, and he's clearly the guy Miami felt deserves to stick around.
He'll have a lot to live up to with the big contract, but Achane certainly seems capable.
