Did you have any plans for Dec. 25 this year? If so, I hope they involve a television because, according to KJR radio host Dave Mahler, the Seattle Seahawks will host the Los Angeles Rams in a rematch of last year’s NFC Championship, [which the Super Bowl champion Seahawks obviously won](/nfl-playoffs/161072/seahawks-vs-rams-score-nfc-championship-game-super-bowl-2026-nfl-news).
The Seahawks beat the Rams both times at Lumen Field last year thanks to a spark from [re-signed wide receiver Rashid Shaheed](/seattle-seahawks-news/164306/seattle-seahawks-free-agency-2026-rashid-shaheed-sticking-around) and nifty improv from DeMarcus Lawrence. There’s no doubt the game will feature major consequences in the NFC West, with both teams in win-now mode and some bad blood from last season’s monumental matchups.
There are three Christmas slots this season, with two on Netflix at 10 am and 1:30 pm PT, and one in primetime on FOX. This will be the first time the Seahawks have ever played a game on Christmas Day, which falls on a Friday this year. However, Lumen Field is no stranger to hosting divisional opponents on holidays, most recently playing host to the San Francisco 49ers on Thanksgiving in 2023.
While the less said about that game, the better, the Seahawks have had success playing under the lights on holidays, beating the 49ers in 2014 and the Dallas Cowboys in 1986.
We’ll know the full Seahawks schedule when it drops alongside the rest of the league on Thursday night at 5 p.m. PT.
