Chelsea may not have too much trouble trying to convince one player to move to England this summer.
Right now, the club’s focus is on appointing a new manager, who could end up being Xabi Alonso. Alonso is not thought to be put off by all the politics at Chelsea, giving the Blues hope of landing the 44-year-old.
Once their manager situation is sorted, you would expect Chelsea to turn all of their attention to the transfer window.
CHELSEA PLAYER OF THE SEASON – FINAL!
Rafael Leao dreaming of Premier League move
One player Chelsea could move for when the transfer market opens is AC Milan’s Rafael Leao, who would welcome a switch to the Premier League.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Leao’s dream is to play in English football’s top division, which is good news for Chelsea and Manchester United.
The same outlet has claimed that both clubs could think about bringing the winger in this summer.

United are likely to have an advantage over Chelsea, having qualified for the Champions League. The Blues may not be able to offer the 26-year-old any form of European football, as they currently sit ninth in the Premier League table.
Whatever the case, it would not be a shock to see the Club World Cup winners make a move for Leao ahead of the 2026/27 season. Leao has been a target for Chelsea in the past so is clearly a forward appreciated by those at Stamford Bridge.
Rafael Leao a no-brainer for Chelsea
Chelsea invested a lot of money in the left-wing position last summer. They signed Jamie Gittens for £48m and paid another £40m for Alejandro Garnacho, but neither transfer has worked out yet.
Considering that, if there is a chance to add Leao to their squad, the Conference League holders should not say no. He would be a huge upgrade on both men.
Leao can score goals, create them, dribble and play as either a winger or centre-forward. In 290 appearances for Milan, the Portugal international has scored 80 goals and provided 65 assists, according to Transfermarkt.
One report from the Daily Mail claims that Leao could cost £60m, a fee Chelsea should be able to pay.
