I joke alot about it, but I would think the packages are fun to look at. I heard that it's used. I thought LAR had more TEs than normal, but I didn't realize how much LAR used 13 personnel last year. Nice article on ESPN. I'll have to re-read it as it's longer than I thought, so I skimmed a lot.
It is kind of amazing the number of TEs picked in day2 of this year's draft. Berry even mentioned, a lot of them he had slated for round 5. Monken was already TE heavy. It will be interesting, even from a 53 man roster.
I do have to re-think that... I thought keeping 4-5 TEs would be extreme, but I'm not so sure anymore.
Really... I never liked KS' predictability, putting Njoku on the line... never splitting him out, rarely even standing. an extra TE can work if you can keep them off guard in the passing game... but it's an extra LB on the field. but this article takes that concept further... who has the personnel to matchup up vs 3 TEs. do you have 3 high quality LBs? and can all of them cover well? that deep, you wonder if they can even figure out dropping back in the zone.
