The Seattle Seahawks accomplished all their goals in their surprising, dominant 2026 season. They went 14-3 to win a tough NFC West and lived up to their top seed in the NFC playoffs, edging the Rams again in the conference championship and whipping the Patriots to win Super Bowl 60.
Mike Macdonald's young team got it done with a deep defense, with the right help from a balanced offense featuring a steady running game and an often explosive passing game. Now they go from the surprise successful hunters to the clearly hunted team in the division and NFC as a whole.
Here's breaking down their 2026 schedule to see how they navigate through the high expectations for a repeat ring performance:

Seahawks strength of schedule
The Seahawks are middle of the pack, facing the NFL's 14th-most difficult schedule when measuring the combined 2025 winning percentage (.514) of all their 2026 opponents. For a reigning Super Bowl champion, that's not too bad for Seattle. The NFC West duo of the 49ers and Rams will make up their four toughest and most important games.
Toughest tests: Outside of the division, the Seahawks' highlight is a home Super Bowl 60 rematch with the Patriots. They also have the Chiefs and Chargers coming to Seattle, while Denver hosts them from the AFC West crossover. Seattle's first-place finish also means facing Chicago at home and Philadelphia on the road. There are enough traps to slip a bit.
Biggest breaks: Beyond the Cardinals twice, the Seahawks' easiest game on paper would be the upstart Giants at home. They get more breaks on the road, playing at the Panthers, Raiders and Commanders.
Seahawks record prediction
Over/under win total: 10.5
Bottom line: The Seahawks handled the NFC West gauntlet well last season through the playoffs. They should be confident to do it again before attacking some interdivision hurdles. The first-place schedule will keep them honest, so will facing the entire AFC West. There should be some slide from a magical season, but still good enough to go "over" and make the playoffs at least as an NFC wild card.
Record prediction: 12-5
