For the fourth season in a row, the Tennessee Titans missed the playoffs and were forced to continue rebuilding.
After signing coach Robert Saleh in the offseason, the team has made positive strides forward on their defense. On the offensive front, drafting Ohio State WR Carnell Tate with the No. 4 overall pick may have come as a surprise to the league, but it showed they were committed to surrounding QB Cam Ward with as much young talent as possible.
To scrap their way closer in the AFC South standings, the Titans need to steal as many games against their divisional rivals as possible this season. Along with that, they need to beat a few other teams in the AFC and NFC East to get past their win total.
Here is a complete breakdown of the Titans' 2026 schedule, including dates, start times and analysis for all 17 games.

Titans strength of schedule
In 2025, Tennessee played against eight playoff teams. The AFC South did greatly exceed expectations last year, but that was still a tough pill to swallow for the Titans. The team has two separate losing streaks that totaled over four games last year (four and seven). Tennessee let up the seventh most sacks last year (56), which they will need to manage moving forward to protect their young quarterback.
This year, the Titans may be able to have more success than they did last year, as Cam Ward was still getting used to NFL play. Tennessee's opponents averaged a .476 win percentage last season, which gives them the eighth-easiest schedule for the 2026 season on paper.
Toughest tests: Tennessee's hardest game might be the Philadelphia Eagles this season. Although the Titans will be at home, Philly will most likely be unsatisfied with their subpar 2025 campaign and will be looking to prove that the previous result was not a sign of changing times.
Some other tests for this young Titans team will come on the road to the Baltimore Ravens and Detroit Lions. Those two teams have some of the most hostile environments to play in, and the Titans don't have a lot of experience playing big games in big environments.
Biggest breaks: In normal years, the AFC South is quite lacking. 2025 showed that the NFL is a league of quick changes, and the once laughable division had two playoff teams who totaled 12 or more wins (Jaguars, Texans). Those results might not hold this season, and it remains to be seen how Indianapolis looks with former WR1 Michael Pittman Jr. joining the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Along with their AFC South counterparts, the Titans do get to circle their calendars for home matchups against the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns. Those two teams have gotten younger, but until they prove themselves wrong, they will stay at the bottom of the NFL's "respect" rankings.
Titans record prediction
Bottom line: Tennessee did show the league that they wanted to swing high to land a high-caliber offensive talent in this year's draft. By taking Carnell Tate at No. 4 overall, they now have a potential WR1 talent, something they haven't had since AJ Brown. The NFL knows that Robert Saleh preaches a defense-first team identity, so expect a defensive unit that was middle-of-the-pack at best to improve under his tenure this season.
While the Titans may double their win total from their 2025 campaign, that would still have them finish with only six wins. It still is a step in the right direction for Saleh and his Titans, nonetheless.
Record prediction: 6-11
