Chelsea will be looking to get the better of Manchester City on Saturday in the FA Cup final, but Glenn Hoddle believes they should be making a real effort to sign John Stones this summer.
The Blues have struggled at the back this season in the absence of Levi Colwill, and will be delighted that they have been able to welcome him back in time for the final at Wembley.
The likes of Trevoh Chalobah, Wesley Fofana and Tosin Adarabioyo have all struggled to prove themselves, and are now battling for a place in the side on Saturday.
CHELSEA PLAYER OF THE SEASON – FINAL!
Glenn Hoddle believes Chelsea have to sign John Stones this summer
The Blues forwards are likely to come up against a central defensive duo of Marc Guehi and Abdukodir Khusanov, although the FA Cup has been where John Stones has seen some minutes this season.
The England international, recently described as ‘strong’ by Richard Dunne (Read Man City), has found minutes harder to come by this season, and is set to leave the club at the end of the season.

Glenn Hoddle believes Chelsea should do anything they can to bring Stones in this summer, bolstering their defensive options.
He said to TNT Sports: “John Stones for me, he’s going to move. We spoke about that. I’d be going left, right, and centre to get him. He’s a good character. He’s a good player still.”

John Stones signing could attract Xabi Alonso to Chelsea
With Chelsea on the hunt for a new permanent manager, Xabi Alonso has emerged as one of the favourites to take over in West London this summer.
In early talks over the job, it has emerged that Alonso has asked Chelsea to sign two new centre-backs this summer to help play the way he wants.
It is expected Colwill will be a crucial member of the squad for a number of years, but finding a suitable partner for him should be seen as a necessity.
Stones would bring Premier League experience to Stamford Bridge, as well as not break the bank due to him being available as a free agent from this summer.
