Everton explore PL rival pre-season friendly

**Everton are considering a potential pre-season friendly in Scotland.**

David Moyes’ side have yet to finalse any fixtures of their upcoming summer schedule but are said to be exploring the feasibility of heading north of the border.

Premier League counterparts Newcastle United emerged as the likely opponents with the prospective encounter being tipped for Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium.

It would be the Blues’ first match in Scotland since a double-header at the start of the 2015/16 campaign when they faced Hearts and Dundee, winning both games.

However the Murrayfield proposal is one of several Newcastle are exploring with the Chronicle claiming talks are ongoing with Roma, also owned by The Friedkin Group.
