“To Be Placed”: NFL Insider Reports That the Green Bay Packers Could Be Without Star Micah…

Green Bay Packers star defensive player Micah Parsons tore his ACL in a game last December against the Denver Broncos on the road. Green Bay’s defense was not the same since that occurred. The Packers finished with a 9-7-1 record in the NFC and were the seventh seed and went one-and-done in the playoffs.

Green Bay’s defense is going to be different this season without Jeff Hafley as the defensive coordinator. Parsons may not be ready for the start of the 2026 NFL season. During the 2025 NFL season with Green Bay, he recorded 41 tackles, 12.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one pass deflection. If they are not going to have him available, there is a good chance that this team could take a major step back this season.

Yahoo Sports reported some concerns about Parsons potentially not being available to begin the 2026 NFL season. They said, “Packers DE Micah Parsons is a “candidate to be placed on the Physically Unable to Perform List” to start the season as he completes his recovery from a torn ACL last December, per@AdamSchefter.” If this were to happen, Green Bay would be without Parsons for the first four weeks of the season. This would not be good for head coach Matt LaFleur and company.

The Packers defense is thin without Parsons on the field. If Green Bay gets off to a slow start without him, it will prove that Parsons is very important to this team.
