NFL top free agent wide receiver Tyreek Hill is still searching for a new home this offseason, but one GM did not mince words on what the future holds for the veteran. Unfortunately for him, Hill has garnered zero interest from teams as the receiver is recovering from a knee injury he suffered last year. Teams like the Kansas City Chiefs are monitoring the situation, but it might be a while before he signs with a roster. He might have to wait until the 2026 season if a team needs a replacement in their receiving unit in time for the postseason.
If he can’t take the top off a defense anymore, what are you bringing him in for?” one NFL GM told Jason La Canfora of SportsBoom. “I think he’s going to have a long wait. He’s a no-go for us.”
Injuries aren’t the only thing stopping teams from pursuing him, but his continuous off-field issues are baggage teams don’t want. While there are still other free agent receivers available, including Stefon Diggs, Keenan Allen and Deebo Samuel, there’s still a chance that Hill can turn his career around.

NFL GM Blasts Top Free Agent Tyreek Hill, Could Still Join These 4 Teams
Originally selected as a fifth-round pick, the former West Alabama product spent most of his career with the Chiefs. After being traded to Miami, Hill has had his moments of shining on the field, but it wasn’t enough to get the Dolphins to a championship led by former QB Tua Tagovailoa. At this stage in his career, especially at 32-years-old, he will probably need to take a lesser role. He’s no longer a WR1 anymore, but these four teams could roll the dice on him in time for the postseason.
Potential Next Teams
Baltimore Ravens
Hill has been linked to the Baltimore Ravens several times this offseason. Could the Ravens consider signing Hill? Absolutely. The team selected WR Ja’Kobi Lane in this year’s draft, but who’s to say he’ll be ready for full-time duties? The sky is the limit for him, but given the success that Odell Beckham Jr. had a few seasons ago, Hill could easily fit in this offense.
DeAndre Hopkins did not bode well in Baltimore, as the receiver is more of a lengthy type threat that operates better as a WR3 than a slot. Hill has the skillsets, speed and playmaker abilities to match up with Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman.
Indianapolis Colts
Meanwhile, the Colts traded Michael Pittman Jr. this offseason, which leaves an obvious hole in the pass-attack for QB Daniel Jones. The team doesn’t need the best receiver on the market, but someone who could take a solid offer on a one-year deal. Alec Pierce is recovering from surgery after signing his monster deal, which leaves Josh Downs and an unproven Nick Westbrook-Ikhine. Hill could electrify this offense in some way, even though he’s way past his prime.
Los Angeles Chargers
Like the Ravens, the Los Angeles Chargers have been linked to Hill. New offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel has history with Hill and might be willing to give him a chance. The team hasn’t re-signed Keenan Allen or any veteran free agent this offseason, so adding Hill to help Ladd McConkey makes sense.
Los Angeles Rams
It’s unlikely the Rams will sign a veteran free agent, but if they’re struggling with Matthew Stafford during the 2026 season, they could add a WR. It’s not anticipated that Stafford will show inconsistency, but he’s getting older and needs more than just two proven WRs, Davante Adams and Puka Nacua, to help this offense. Hill might have a chance to revive his career under head coach Sean McVay.
