GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Social media is abuzz with rumors, leaks and insider information about the NFL schedule Thursday.
The NFL will officially release the full 32-team schedule at 7 p.m. Central.
In the meantime, Action 2 News is following NFL beat reporters, industry insiders and our own Action 2 Sports team to piece together what the Green Bay Packers schedule might look like.
Week 1 - September 13, 3:25 p.m. NFL Nerd reports the Packers head to Minnesota to start the season.
Week 4 - October 4, 1 p.m. Also from NFL Nerd, the Packers play in Tampa Bay.
Week 9 - October 29, 7:15 p.m. The Journal Sentinel cites a radio host in Charlotte saying the Panthers will play Lambeau Field on Thursday Night Football, streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Week 10 - Bye week or Thursday game, Tom Silverstein suspects because of next week’s game on a Wednesday. Other reporters learn toward a bye week, especially if a Thursday night game in Week 9 is confirmed.
Week 11 - November 25, 7 p.m. The Packers already confirmed Netflix will carry their game at Los Angeles Rams on “Thanksgiving Eve.” Packers digital strategist Weston Hodkiewicz says it’s only Green Bay’s second game in franchise history to be played on a Wednesday. This first time was 1938.
Week 16 - Christmas Day 12 p.m. NFL Nerd was one of the first to report a Christmas Day game, and it’s since been backed up by NFL insiders citing sources who say the game will air on Netflix. Are you a subscriber?
