The Denver Broncos have one of the best defenses in football. However, they could still be looking to add a veteran to help some of their young players. While speaking to reporters ahead of a charity event, edge rusher Nik Bonitto made it known that he would love to see Von Miller back with the Denver Broncos for the 2026 season.
“Obviously, everyone would love that. Not only the fans but the players. He’s a guy that’s loved here in Denver so much. My personal favorite player ever to watch. Just being able to share a room with him would be amazing.”
Miller spent the majority of his NFL career with the Denver Broncos, from 2011 before being traded to the Los Angeles Rams during the 2021 season. He played three years with the Buffalo Bills before playing last season with the Washington Commanders. Miller is an unrestricted free agent and the 37-year-old linebacker has made it known that he is interested in returning to the franchise.
During the offseason, Miller appeared on ‘The Rich Eisen Show’ and discussed he wants to have some closure with the Denver Broncos and get to say goodbye.
“I got traded whenever I was there. I didn’t get that chance to have closure. I didn’t get to walk into the stadium and be like, ‘OK, this is my last game. I’m gonna do this with the fans.’ I didn’t get that closure. So I would love to have closure with the Denver Broncos.”
Denver did not extend a contract to Miller last season when he hit free agency, so it will be intriguing to see if that changes this offseason. He continued to showcase how impactful he is on the field, as he recorded nine sacks last season as well. The defense continues to be one of the best in the sport, so adding a veteran like Miller could only make the team even better.
