Fans can’t believe Cam Ward, Titans won’t be in prime time in 2026

All 32 teams in the NFL are releasing their official schedules for the 2026-27 season. The Tennessee Titans, who didn't have a single prime-time game last year, will not have a prime-time game next campaign either.

That's two years in a row where Cam Ward and the Titans won't play a single prime-time game. NFL Insider Jordan Schultz claimed that he was surprised to see that Tennessee, along with the New York Jets, did not receive a single prime-time matchup for next season.

“Very surprised theJets andTitans both received no primetime games,” said Schultz. “Young, talented up-and-comers usually get at least one — and I really thought these two should be on the national slate at some point.”

Although the NFL has the power to reschedule prime-time games later in the season to provide better matchups for viewers, some Titans fans can't believe the league isn't giving the franchise at least one matchup under the bright lights, considering all of the exciting moves the franchise has made this offseason. Meanwhile, others believe the league's decision is justified.

“Not a single primetime for the first two seasons of Cam Ward’s career is ridiculous,” stated one fan.

Another individual explained, “We are starting to see that the league doesn’t care if your team has upside, you need to have proven it the season before.”

“Well, I expect this for the Titans, but I was hoping for at least one prime-time game. Maybe next year,” claimed another user.

This person pointed out, “They gave us Cam on Netflix ‘Quarterback' that's about as much exposure as the league is willing to give us!! Lol.”

“Not shocked. Small market. Small national fan base. And an unproven team,” said a thoughtful fan.

Outside of the Titans and Jets, the Las Vegas Raiders, Arizona Cardinals, and Miami Dolphins also have no prime-time games on their schedules. Each team is not projected to do particularly well next season, nor did they perform great in the 2025-26 campaign.

As it seems, Cam Ward and the Titans will have to prove themselves worthy to the league if they want to participate in any prime-time games in the future.
